reeseman
Hi Raiders, I was wondering if someone could give me some advice on a decent rod to match my Shimano Deceiver DCV1025 reel, its a really small bright orange reel, that looks smaller than most 1000 series reels. I currently have it loaded with 2lb fireline and a 4lb leader. I have been using the reel on my Pflueger medalist 3-5kg tournament spin rod, was using it for whiting fishing which was a bit of fun, but I am after a 1-3 kg rod around the $150 mark which would really match my little reel. I have been slowly getting more and more into my bream lure fishing and want to put together an awesome set up to specifically chase bream on small hard bodies. Any advice you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Reeseman.
rjc123
Have a look at the Samaki Zing. You can get it for around $160 and its a top rod.

reeseman
Thanks for the reply Jack. Well I ended up buying a rod on my weekly walk into the tackle shop, and came out with a Shimano T-Curve Ultra Lite Spin 662 by Ian Miller. Was $199 but i got it for $150, hopefully i wasnt ripped off. It is a 1-3kg rod really balanced with my shimano deceiver reel. I took it out for a flick at the georges river this arvo. Got a ton of hits but sadly no hook ups to test her out. Maybe I'll go early tomorrow morning. Thanks for the Advice guys, much appreciated. Kind Regards Reeseman.
