Basil D
Got back from Jervise Bay last Friday and what a trip it was. Fishing, swimming, BBQ's, walking on the sand, snorkling, I will go back for sure, the sands, white/blue water, just amazing. we did some fishing and I got this weird looking Flathead at 34.5cm on a squid jig. we lots of squid and my wife landed her first calamari and got inked everywere, I didnt tell her about them squirting ink on ya Boys climbed ropes and jumped in, we swam in the river, we cruised in our boat with dolphins and I came back 4kg hevier oh well back to the gym . Can anyone tell me what type of flathead this is? Tiger maybe.

chewie
Hey mate, That Flattie is a Tassel- Snouted Flathead. I have the Fishraider record for one caught on a lure. Funnily, it was also caught on a squid jig at night. I think yours is a bit bigger too. Did you eat it? great area to fish down there. i'll be back for sure.
