knuckle
Hey fellow raiders, Heading up to lake windamere this weekend probably with a few thousand other people and have decided to drag the boat up and have a crack at some freshwater species. Have done a bit of research on catching yellas and jackels seem to be the flavour of the month, im guessing down the rock ledges and over weed beds. As a novice at fresh water can any one give any advice on any lures or areas I should target? Anyone used plastics with success. Im guessing there is a slim chancecof a cod also? Any dvice or tips greatly appreciated Cheers Knuckle
Guest
Jackals and spinnerbaits work well and with higher water temps ...concentrate your efforts early and late in the day before it get too warm and any structure like weed beds ,trees or rock walls are all worth a shot....work your lures slowly

knuckle
Thanks for the replies and advice swordfisherman, Was really y happy with the results managed to get a fish in between the rain and did find a few yellas. Slow rolled jackals over the weed beds for about a dozen fish in total, all were realesed to fight another day. Thanks again Knuckle
