Tuggerah Lakes Bass

A new guy around Fishraider appears!

Just a collection of my mate & myself bass fishing around the lakes in the past month or so - Videos included.

We have got on the bass with a 12.5ft outriggered canoe using both a 6hp O/B & Paddle power to get to the more secluded spots.

Plenty of bass about with more good days than none- all were released as we never take any. ALL freshwater fishing was done solely on our own homemade hardbody lures "Bungie Lures" which we handcarve, string, paint & coat.

O-Creek (Location readacted due to people pollouting this now SPROUTING bass fishery)

7th Jan: Low Water Levels, Plenty of folage on the surface. Using "bungie" 'Powmp' Surface poppers Whilst mate used 'Gun' Medium Diver in black on green. Many Juvenile (10-15cm models taken) and wrapped up the day with 3 of these:

Taken on Bungie GUN - Made by Luke G.

8th Jan (same location 4pm): Low water levels, Similar folage on surface: Mate forgets the net (guess the size?) Using 8lb braid with 6lb fluro leader

Haha, Thanks Grant - It is a shame but recent minor flooding has given the creek a brand new lease on life: Our trip up to the weir on the 31st saw us gob smacked at the millions of guppies & (possibly juvenile bass?) launching themselves up & over the swollen weir *NO CAMERA, DOH*.

****WARNING**** Also a LARGE amount of trees & natural debris is now blocking access from the weir itself. Not to discourage anybody but PLEASE take care if you decide to enter the creek as many of the felled trees & washed up debris are dangling precariously in the air and could easily come down at a moments notice.*****

Some Friends & myself will be working over the next few months to remove some of the immediate debris blocking access - Work & Weather Permitting.

Tight lines guys

Actually caught a few in my fishing cap - Definatley Guppies BUT some seem to have similar head/mouth caracteristics as bass - hard to tell when there under an inch. As for ol Mate - yeah he looked like he just lost the olympics.
