cameldownunder
Assuming that: 1 have 12-15 cm life yellowtail, a 15 lbs mono line, a 20 lb floro and a baitrunner reel, what setup is better? Paternoster or running sinker and letting the fish run, or strike on first/second nibble. I ask this as those seems to me the best set up for flatheads, but had no hookups lately. If I am completely off course, just give it to me staight !
Guest Aussie007
if your fishing from the shore u need to strike on a nibble, if your fishing from a boat and drifting the flatties are so easily teased by a moving bait they will actually follow your bait for ages they will keep attacking the bait as long as there is bait on the hook u need to wait for a big take or for the fish to set the hook thats how i fish anyway u can always strike at a nibble and by chance hook the fish thats how my mates fish im lazy rig i use is line,sinker,swivel,1-2foot trace, hook Edited March 13, 2013 by gazza
