Kingfish1999
Hi guys just want ur opinion on this one wat is a good rod and reel combo that's $300 max with line on it. I will be using it for flathead for both bait and soft plastics and surface action that I come across. Please let me know reel size, line size, rod weight thanks Ethan

Kingfish1999
Sorry I will be on a boat and just wat every flathead is in the area I was thinking 3-5 kg rod and a 3000 reel or is that to heavy Edited March 18, 2013 by Ethan13
shole01
sounds alrightprobably a 2500 reel though guessing something like a symetre 2500 and a shmano raider would be good
bassboy888
2500 shimano Stradic with a 3-5kg pfluger trion probably within the budget!
tasksta
I rate the new symetre highly. Just bought the combo from bee see eff with graphite 6kg rod for 150 absolute bargain. Landed a heap of rats on the weekend with drag screaming all morning without issue. That said if u can afford a stradic and trion that is alao a very very tasty combo i couldnt afford.
