spaners
Went chasing Jews around Brisbane Waters this arvo at high tide land based. My question is do Jews dive into the sandstone rock walls around bridges when hooked in shallow water[3mtr] The first one was hooked only 12feet out from the rock wall on Killalure Jewie 150,the second one was in the same spot 10mins later on a Frenzy hard body ,both times I thought I had snagged on the rocks or weed ,so I gave it a big hard yank to try and free it up only to feel head shakes then line pulling off the reel as it dove into the rock wall, now I would pull it up a little,it would pull me down a little, this went on for a while until the leader broke. This happened twice in the same spot.Im calling them both Jews ,What do the experts think? Thanks in advance. Edited April 19, 2013 by wher'd all the fish go

outdoordan
Doesn't sound very Jew like. Estuary cod are known to be caught as far south as sydney, are avid lure takers, grow to large proportions and could be a potential culprit.
