Swansea outside is firing

Went for a fish yesterday at Swansea and headed outside as the seas were favorable. We went to our bait grounds and got a heap of yakkas and had a bit of a fish there also and got a few nice fish. Had a floater out which got nailed and I got smoked, had 50lb braid with 80lb leader and drag locked up and it was taking more line than I was retrieving and eventually got busted off, this happened twice.

We then went to the 40m mark and did a drift, wasn't much of a current but it was flathead city, unfortunately most were undersized but a few nice keepers.

The southerly hit us and the seas got angry so we headed back inside and called it a day at around 5pm.

Got a good mixed bag which we split and are having for dinner tonight.

We also hooked a few sharks which put up good fights and I can feel them in my arms today haha.

There was a bit of surface action and we landed a few bonnies as well, i'm sure there was bigger fish amongst them just by the surface action.

Sounds like you still had fun! How big do you think the fish that busted you off where?

I got no idea how big, my arms hurt and it dragged the boat.

Swansea outside is fishing really well atm, there was also a lot of turtles around.

Oh and a low flying super hornet that blasted past us.
