Hey Guys im heading up to Port Mac for a week of golf tomorrow and just wonder if anyone has heard hows its fishing up there, im staying in lake cathie and am land based for the week, some how i feel the fishing will be better than the golf hahaha.

lake cathie is going well atm plenty of flatties and bream i even heard of a soapie being caught, best bet would be to fish the beach for a decent jew there have been quite a few being caught lately and the mouth of lake Cathie would be a pretty good place to look, hint use large worm baits for the jew.

yeah it is open atm, but not flowing very hard its quit shallow, but a change in the water chemistry is sure to set off some environmental ques to get fish congregating at the entrance. give it ago and report back with your results. i'd be surprised if you didnt score something.
