Monday morning luderick session

Went for a quick morning blackfish off the stones this monday morning.

Upon arrival at 530 am with a predicted swell of 1.2m on a rising tide peaking at 1030, i was abit weary on the location and the conditions on the day because of similar conditions at the same spot have seen and herd of a few people getting put on their rear side. After watching from the cliff edge while waiting for a mate conditions were pritty good and fishable.

With an overcast cloudy day, minimal winds, lots of turbalence and white wash right infront of our rock platform conditions were perfect!

Anyways started fishing from 0700-0830 the fish would come and go with both of us hooking up within moments of each other, and then it would go quite, and then we would be on again.

We ended up with 8 keepers split between the both of us, and released the rest. we caught many little blackfish that were putting up a hell of a fight for their little size.

Its been a while since i was able to head out for a session off the rocks for luderick, and it felt good when a plan came together. It felt good to feel the 'thump thump'.

Thanks for reading!

Ah right. Yeah id thought they'd be in schools due to the on and off multiple hook ups in a short amount of time. Mabe i shouldve burleyed more to keep them concentrated in the area., but all in all im happy with the end result. its nice to sometimes sit back and take in the ocean while the bites off. (not really) haha.

Nice work mate! What bait did the damage?

Hey mate, was using the thicker leaves of sea cabbage. The thinner parts of the cabbage seemed to not get any hits.
