pomey_git
Hi guys, After my accident in sydney, is there any way to repair a graphite rod once it breaks. Its not in 2 pieces but pretty splintered. Any advise? Thanks
LeoB
G'day Really the only thing that can be done is to cut down the blank a reposition the guides, assuming you broke the tip. It would be impossible to re-glue the blank. Cheers Leo
pomey_git
Just above the join for the top section of a 2 piece.
LeoB
Unfortunately I don't think that would be possible without adversely affecting the action of the rod. Cheers Leo
night_rider
I too broke my Graphite SP rod over the weekend that just past! It was halfway between the end guide and 2nd one... Where should I be looking for a fix? I'm in the inner west of Sydney... I have just re-rigged it and is okay, but the 3 cm stub is catching when I cast... :'( I loved that rod... sigh. Catchin Jack
A lot of tackle stores do repairs, chase them up, I'm sure they'll know someone or maybe do it for you if it's repairable.
