Shanemills
Parra river is the closest I live in the hills district to and silverwater, meadowbank ect is the closest. Unless you don't mind paying the m2 toll then u can get to lane cove river within half an hour. Would only catch and release in these areas tho. ashisnothereman
i live in the hills to. i usually head around lane cove river when i cant be bothered driving to far and its close to uni. roseville bridge isnt that bad of a drive if you plan around the traffic. also blackfish will be thick in parra soon hopefully. so i will be fishing for them around drumoyne, hopefully find an even closer spot this season. good luck. Witha
FIshed these areas for a few years now, only recently moved further south; Meadownbank near the bridge can go well for bream and a few flathead, lane cove has been productive in the past and have had some success, Roseville I personally have not had too much luck with, especially if land based. More of the better spots can be found walking the bush tracks rather than the popular picnic areas. If you've got a bit more time try heading up to Berowra; flicking for bream around the boats on the Galstone side or some fresh bait in the deeper channels normally rewards. Some decent salmon to be had, and a few reports of Jew if you have the time to invest in the elusive Mulloway. Hard as a land based in these areas at times as it is obviously limiting! Hope you have some luck mate. Cheers, Witha
