Yowie
Did not bother with a photo today. Fished Lilli Pilli early and had baits stolen by a plague of reddies, quite a few just under sized, taking any bait thrown their way, some taking the baits well before it hit bottom. Baits were salted frigate strips, fresh tailor strips, squid and pilchards. Kept the only legal reddie of 32cm, a bream a bit smaller, and 2 tailor not much bigger than the reddie. Released a jewie about 50cm, 2 kingies about the same size, and 2 red gurnard. The kingies took the baits from the bottom. The water had a bit of colour from the rain, which is probably why the reddies were on the chew.

leonardgid
Hi there , i love the fact that there were allot of snapper just under the legal size, something that we never used to see much in the old days, also king fish of all size are much more common these days to what they were as far back as i can remember, you try telling that to fisheries that have suddenly decided to half out bag limits on snapper and kings,
Pongrass18ft
Great going Dave with a good variety in the mix. Are you looking forward to the next few cold winter months putting the pressure on to catch a feed. Chris.

When the rain stops and the water clears up and cools off, will be needing to put in more effort. Means longer time out in the boat to land a feed. Yowie
Mate do you get them taking lures much around there? Don't use lures that much, but the way the reddies were biting, a soft plastic may have produced a few.
