Novicefisherman
Hey everyone, Just wondering if anyone had an experience with any of the Penn Prevail surf rods from the 8ft to the 12 ft. Looking at these rods for using off break walls and rocks for tossing pillies under a float.
matt84
For the $$ I recon it would be hard to find a better rod...
PRED-ATOR
I got one, not the one your looking at though (13 ft 10-15kg). they are a good rod, bit heavy compared to other rods with similair specs.
Novicefisherman
I've narrowed it down to the 8ft, 9ft or 10ft. I already own a 13ft shimano areo wave. This rod would be mainly for spinning 65 gram metals, plastics etc off the rocks and the odd live baiting from the rocks or shore. May opt for the 10 ft for chucking pillies under a float. I was just concerned about weight. My only concern would be weight of the rod, couldn't find anything on line about weight of rod.
JET01
Ive had a look at the 10'6 version. Nice rod. But the 12'lox iridium surf was nicer so i went with that.
