Phone Reception offshore

Hey mare if your serious why not look at a sat phone? Would they work past heatons??? Maybe someone can help us .... It's something I'd look In to

It's not really for phone calls as much as retrieving data fo water temps that I want it. I want to link my laptop to reception for Internet feed.

my sister works for a sat phone and satelite company ,they did have a great price on them with a govt rebate think about half price ,they get reception anywhere as they use satelites of course ,they mostly sell to ppl heading to kimberleys,or way out in middle of no where ,so i cant see any problems offshore .

Thanks mate but as I said. Sat phone is not what I want.
