Spoodge6
G'day people, Just got an Abu Garcia Soron STX 60 and am trying to work out how much 30lb braid I can put on it to see whether I should swap it for a STX70 instead. Line capacity is listed at 250m/6kg but is that mono or braid, thanks for your help.

rockfisherman
I'd say that be mono rating, which is a bit broad any which way, but I found this on the net... Stx 60 holds 190m/0.35mm Harry

Heymar
A Soron STX60 will take pretty much bang on 300yds of 20lb woven braid. If you fish with a thin diameter line you could get close to the same of 30. I use spiderwire code red and it takes almost 300 of that. Hope that helps mate. Cracking reel you got there I own a swag of them and they have landed some serious monsters. Remember, the way you spool the reel also affects how much line it will take. Cheers, Mark.
