Day on the Bay

Whet out for a flick today but I couldn't get around that slime in the water it seems to be everywhere at the moment .does anyone know how long it will be around for ? very difficult to fish with that around. Ended up with 4 flounder 3 good size tailor and 2 squid all in all great day . Beats working!

that slime hung around last year for about 2 months its a real pain

The slime is about most years during late winter, more so with the lack of rain.

Yes the brown slime is in most of the bay at the moment although I found less near the sand flats of woolooware bay .

Has anyone tried the Port Hacking lately for flatties or bream as it should be a lot cleaner?

Two sessions in the Hacking last week and didnt hit slime at all.

Didnt hit fish either unfortunately, unless you include a couple of dozen reddies and a couple of undersize flatties.

Thanks for the feedback guys regarding slime , we'll have to persevere until it all settles down

I'll will try around woollaware bay sandflats hopefully pickup some nice flatties!
