sleepydragon
Hi Raiders, Howdy? I hope you guys have a good weekend. Just a wonder around, I have a marine battery for my boat and also a solar charger. I am not sure if someone here using solar charger to charge battery during storage (winter) ? Is it recommened ? or just use power charger. Cheers
The Incredible Hull
I'm only guessing here, but regardless of if its solar or power from the wall, I think you would want it the unit set to "trickle" charge.

sleepydragon
I was thinking about this on the weekend Where did you get the charger, does it work well? Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 2 Hi, I got it from Super Cheap Auto. Yes, it does charge the battery. However, I am not sure if there is downside for the battery. My one is Century 720 Pro comes with deep cycle. I also have new Ctek 5MXS powe charger too. But it is not convienine to charge the battery with power. Cheers Cheers
tiles
Iv got a solar pannel on each battery had them for last 5yrs on this boat batteries still like new there the ones you get at any camping or car part shop for around $20 each thay trickle feed the batteries which keeps the acid moving stops the plates from breaking down as obey1 said
martymonsta
Hey guys, does it matter whether the solar chargers are 1.5W, 2.4W or 4W for the purposes of the trickle charging? What's the standard (if there is one)? Thanks Marty
