Outside off port Hacking

well I haven't been fishing for a while, been busy with work chores and all.

Finally got Wednesday off and the weather reports were all over the shop, we were thinking of heading to Bellambie but thought otherwise.

well trusty old port Hacking came to the rescue, if it to windy we could always head in .

we headed off to our Flathead Grounds and managed 8 Flathead to 56cm 6 leather jackets, Once the Jackets came in we had buckleys to get anymore Flathead and decided to head close in and find new ground close to the cliffs.

It wasnt to bad we had fun on the Rats, got a few Red rock cods and a few Squid, then the Bloody birds started to dive after our bait, dam birds oh well managed a few hook up to 40cms to the beak all under sized and threw them back in :risata:post-8352-0-55298000-1381384192_thumb.jpg

Later on manged some trevally and other reffies, not a bad day and all the weather sites were wrong again, well you cant be too carefull

Did you turn right or left from the entrance to get to the Flathead ground?

Watching from my office window toward Jibbon most days the numbers are about equal, although a few boats have been fishing the wash inside Jibbon Point with a few getting very close to the break. Haven't heard of anyone doing any good there and a bit hard to pick up close detail with the binos.

Also, have not seen too many boats fishing for squid drifting North from the front of Sandshoes which is usually a popular spot for them.

Bring on the Hoodlums in time for me being back on deck mid October.

Cheers
