driftwood
Hi My Dad is looking at a Surtees Centre Console 5.5mtr or the superceeded Stabicraft 1750 Centre Console, just wondering which boat is more stable at rest, it will be used for inside fishing, the occasional fishing outside here and there. The Surtees looks like it has more room. Which one do you think is the better buy. Thanks Driftwood
a boat
Hi, I personally think the Extreme range of plate alloy boats are the best alloy centre console made and why we choose to stock them. Your father should look at these too because in my opinion they are superior to both the brands you mention. As for your question on stability, the Surtees is stable but nothing is as stable at rest than a pontoon boat but as you pointed out the room on such a hull is limited due to the tubes. We have a 540 Sportfisher here at present and once you see the build quality, attention to detail and finish you will understand what I say and being the only brand built to not only CPC standard but to Survey standard as well you do not get better. Cheers, Huey.
driftwood
Thankyou Huey, sorry I didnt get back to you, I have been working nightshift. My impatient dad bought the Surteee 5.5 Centre Console with a 4 stroke 90 hp Mercury. Anyway I am sure he will get some good fishing out of it. Thanks again

Juggs
I know its already been bought but the stabi would be more stable at rest, but the surtees is a better boat in every other point possible though
