VHF signing

I launch at Berowra ramp and want to know if fishraiders sign on travelling up Berowra crk. I fish during the week so Marine Rescue Terry Hills and Marine Rescue Sydney are the only station on duty.

I have changed from 27mgs to VHF and have the advantage of 25w but dont want to use it on the higher power, there are repeater stations around and the question is do any Fishraiders using Berowra sign in or do you wait till you are past Bar Point.

The weekends is not a problem as the other stations are on duty

Don't worry about using high power for the short amount of time you use it, but good thing to be aware of it though. MR Terry Hills and MR Sydney are one and the same. If cant raise them on Ch16 then try Ch81 repeater, it's located at Cowan (just up the road from Huett Marine) and covers most of that area well but with a few dead spots.

MR told me that the repeater was 81 and that they do monitor it, but did not know it location. They also said to log on with the mobile phone and Berowra area has no reception for it as well.
