Brisbane Waters Lizzards

Hi All,

Hope you all have had a nice new year day and xmas break! As one could imagine with a few days of public holidays and the fantastic weather we've been getting, it would be crazy not to take advantage and have a flick.

Headed towards Brisbane waters, we hired a BBQ boat for the day, with a few mates, some hawkesbury prawns, we headed around the bay for some fishing and BBQ.

After finding a nice bay, we anchored and fired the BBQ for some breaky. There were other boaties around, doing the same and i saw a guy just catching a nice size lizzard. So i knew the SP lure would do well, at my 2nd cast i caught myself a small lizard, he was thrown back. And by the 5th cast i was onto a nice model, he came up about 44 cms.

The day pretty much was spent motoring around surrounding bays and doing the same. We had a great feed and caught a few more lizzards and whitings.

We caught 6 lizzards all up, they ranged from 40 to 48 cms. It was a great day and most caught on lures.

PS - dont forget to slip slop slap, i didnt realised how burnt i was until i saw myself in the mirror that night. Even though it's overcast, UV can still be damaging.

Tight lines

Sid
