fisho.sid
Hi All, Hope you all have had a nice new year day and xmas break! As one could imagine with a few days of public holidays and the fantastic weather we've been getting, it would be crazy not to take advantage and have a flick. Headed towards Brisbane waters, we hired a BBQ boat for the day, with a few mates, some hawkesbury prawns, we headed around the bay for some fishing and BBQ. After finding a nice bay, we anchored and fired the BBQ for some breaky. There were other boaties around, doing the same and i saw a guy just catching a nice size lizzard. So i knew the SP lure would do well, at my 2nd cast i caught myself a small lizard, he was thrown back. And by the 5th cast i was onto a nice model, he came up about 44 cms. The day pretty much was spent motoring around surrounding bays and doing the same. We had a great feed and caught a few more lizzards and whitings. We caught 6 lizzards all up, they ranged from 40 to 48 cms. It was a great day and most caught on lures. PS - dont forget to slip slop slap, i didnt realised how burnt i was until i saw myself in the mirror that night. Even though it's overcast, UV can still be damaging. kempch2
Congrats buddy. Top way to spend the day. Your right about the sun, creeps up on you. With fishing like that, easy to get distracted though. All the best
