dacosta74
I've just move to Seaforth and I'm fed up with catching nothing around Clontarf - land based. Is it worth giving it a go off the rocks that go round from Manly aquarium to Fairlight? Any suggestions on methods and what to expect to catch? cheers

pete76
used to catch a few when i was a kid at clontarf! im boat based these days, but you should try around the spit bridge or maybe grotto....even better invest in a used kayak for a few hundred $ and you'd be amazed how much more you can catch when you're further in the middle and on the move covering a greater area!! don't give up, you'll eventually find your way

iamthecowgodmoo
In that general area, The Spit seems to be the most productive land based spot within a 10min drive with jews and kings found there on a regular basis. I've tried Collaroy/Longy etc, but seem to be only successful with finding Luderick, Blackfish and the occasional Salmon from there.
