clem-pecker
Took off Sat lunch time to put the boat in at Brooklyn, find a nice little beach to anchor up and let the kids loose on the sand. After exhausting themselves we cooked a bbq cleaned up and hit the sack in anticipation of a good day ahead. Got up with the sparrows and sea eagles, had a quick feed and outside we go with a couple of hard bodies following past west head and round barrenjoey then out go the skirts. We trawled ESE to do a basic triangle towards Sydney. We hit about 9mile and outside long starts a tickle so I slow the boat and decided to reel this one in for the best chance of showing the kids their first Dolly. 57 she goes, a kiss and off like a brides nighty. 12 mile same lure and 8 year old daughters turn she made dad proud and got it boat side with a grin from ear to ear. Over the side for the pickies and this one goes 61, back in the drink couse it was too pretty apparently! Do a hard to starboard and head towards Sydney, again same lure a 6 1/2 inch black betty gets munged down 6 year old son has ago and with leaving the rod in the gunnel reeled in another dolly going 66. Home with dad this one went. Proud as punch and a couple of new companions I can count on that love it as much as me. Water temp outside was terrible at 21.4 but off manly beach got 22.8. Heard some beakie action south of us so with that sort of temp outside you fellas done well.
