kts350 Posted February 4, 2014 Share Posted February 4, 2014 A whole bunch of us boys a hitting The Entrance next week for our annual fishing trip just wondering if anyone knows what the fishings been like up there lately and a few spots we can try the guys are keen to fish the beech but i don't care I just want to take home a feed for the family plus we are having a little wager on who gets the most fish, biggest fish, weirdest fish.. Also are there any places you can go squiding up there been hanging to try some new jigs I got. Sorry for all the questions but I havent fished The Entrance for 30 years. Stapo Posted February 5, 2014 Share Posted February 5, 2014 There's plenty of small flathead at The Entrance at the moment.Try the South channel flicking a plastic from the bank. On the Northern side try under the Bridge on the sandy bank. late afternoons run out tide flatties and bream. I've been getting a few blackfish on the wall from the bridge to the boat shed, using wire weed. Good fishing on dark on the sand bars Eastern side of the bridge, stand on the shallow sand bars and fish in the deeper channels.Live prawns are the best bait.
