LearningFisher112
Anyone know what fish this is? I'm thinking either a Bass Groper or Banded Rock Cod? I released it because I didn't know what it was.

elferoz777
I ate one 2 years ago when I was a newbie and it was horrific. Too many bones, crappy texture and that weed taste. I usually catch 3 of these for every decent fish I pull up off the rocks.
rockfisherman
When I used to do heaps of snorkelling around laperouse ( up until I saw a 2.5m shark swim under me ) I used to see heaps of these around, but the most intresting thing about them was they would sit there motionless in strange positions looking like a peice of weed until you came real close, then wooshka! Gone If it's to good to be true, it usually is...
Crossfire63
Are they edible? Put it in a pot with chilli, garlic, ginger, and an axe head. When the axe head goes soft throw the fish out and eat the axe head
