wchh
Fished the beaches with friends and caught tailors on all last three trips. Last night we risked the rain again and fished from 6:00~9:30 pm. The biggest tailor caught beat my PB by 1 mm to 55 cm. Also caught a very white/pink bream which i suspect could be a cross of snapper or something? Finished just before the high tide due to rain is rolling in. Cheers Charles

fisherman666
Are you sure? I still reckon it's a bream as it has a fork tail where Tarwhine does not. Happy to be corrected though.

mike2153
Oh actually it may be a bream, the head just looks a little rounded to be a brea especially because of its size you woule think to see some blue lips on him. They can be hard to tell between the two.
wchh
Which beach?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalkit was a bream for sure. only thing is this one is a bit slimmer and whiter than the many breams i caught off the beaches. bream caught off beaches are generally not as dark as those cause off rivers ( mayall for one).the slim shape reminds me the breams i caught from the anchorage (noosa)
Yowie
Bream that inhabit sand areas are rather light in colour, the ones that inhabit deeper water, or areas with muddy or dark sand, become darker coloured.
