Has anyone towed or owned a hilux d4d 2wd post 2005 and paid attention to the fuel economy ?

Guys are claiming anywhere from around 9-12 l per 100ks under various driving conditions.

^{I have a 4 x 2 Diesel Hilux duel cab 3.0 turbo - great little ute for the guys at work.}

^{It is always loaded with at least 3 big bodies and a load of tools and averages around the 10 litres per 100kms. Not sure what the range would be towing and this would also depend on what is being towed. But I would guess around the 11/100 to 14/100 mark.}

I'd be very cautious of d4d engines mine is currently up on a hoist because of the very consistent injector problem in them , except mine went one better when the injector failed it blew the 4 th piston which damaged the block ,$$$$$$ 2008 model going to the wreckers
