All lures are 40 grams and the line is 13 pound (6 kilos) (Forgot to focus on the camera on my phone so photo did not turn out the best.) sambofisherr
How do tie the lure on with no swivel what knot do you use because when your a finished with the lure u have to cut the line and eventually you will run out of the flourcarbon. Sorry i ask a lot of questions :-) Sent from my LG-P940h using Tapatalk
Berleyguts
If you change lures a lot and you don't like cutting and retyeing loop knots, then a snap swivel or just a snap may be more suitable. Baz

I just timed myself and it took about 16 seconds to cut off a lure and retie a new lure on with a uni knot. Same if not faster than trying to open a small snap swizel with wet fingers. krause
Use an uni knot to join the braid to the leader. I use mono when spinning because its cheaper, and at those speeds the fish isnt inspecting the quality/clarity of the leader I add a swivel and split ring to the top of the slug. As mentioned above, reel fast, but try different things. At garies dont be afraid to spin near the reef as apposed to just sandy bottom. And mabey look at switching the trebles to singles. The salmon tend to spit the treble on the jump. cheers
sambofisherr
But if u cut it u will end up with no mono for you leader Sent from my LG-P940h using Tapatalk
Witha
Takes about 5cm or so each time mate, and thats with my average knotting. Say you change 5 times before you have to replace leader thats still only 25cm off your 2mish not a problem Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
rockfisherman
But if u cut it u will end up with no mono for you leader Sent from my LG-P940h using Tapatalk 2 That's why you have 2m of leader in the first place, so you can cut and retie, then at your next session cut the old one off and tie a new one on. Sent from my LG-P940h using Tapatalk 2 I suggest you get yourself a copy of Geoff Wilson's book "Knots and Rigs". If you want to tie directly to a split ring, do so at your peril. You have been given plenty of information in this and you other thread. Cheers, Baz
