NaClH2OK9
Left gunamatta ramp at 8:30 and headed to the old fisheries ground to try for livies or squid. 30 - 45mins produced nothing so I crossed the channel to fish a little way behind the boomies hoping for another chance at something similar to what smoked me last weekend. Every droped bait was robbed with me only producing 3 undersize silver trevaley. By 12 I pulled the anchor and started a long drift north producing 2 slightly under flatties. I'd fitted a bimmini yesterday for some much needed shade but haven't got as far as Re fitting the vhf aerial as this now needs moving so that stuffed my plans to head south for some deeper water drifts. Settled for drifting the hole off Greenhills Instead which produced another small trevaley . 3 more slightly under flatties and 1 keeper. There were a few white caps starting to build and pushing north West so headed back towards the South head boomies and tried short drift just slightly south but snagged and snapped twice in 10 mins so gave up. Had an hour playing with the boat controls (it was pretty flat and forgiving but she seems to get better with every outing). Finished with 30 mins at sw arm but not a peck so back to the ramp for 4pm. ......... SaltWaterDog Edited March 30, 2014 by NaClH2OK9
