Mullatt
Mate, unfortunately don't think there's too many trout in the Yass anymore, you may be lucky and find some where it goes into Burrinjuck! You will find plenty of Carp (yawn), probably your best bet with them (as mentioned) is corn under a float or bread, dough or even a garden worm! There are Redfin in Burrinjuck, but not sure how far they venture back up the Yass River, but if they do I would be using a flashy type lures worked vigorously. You may have to keep moving until you find a patch, but when you do you will get a few! Years ago, used to get some beautiful trout in the upper reaches of the Yass, but like other places the Carp took over Good luck.
