JaniFIN
Hi Mates. I am quite beginner Softplastic fishing, only 2 years experience, and have use only one rod. Savage gear Buchwacker 6.2" 10-40g. I Fishing Zanders and Redfin perchs. For zander it is good, but for redfins littlebit too heavy. What you use and can recommend for BREAM? Redfin is guite same that bream. I Have Shimano solstace 2500 FI reel (thanks Stewy) , so some rod for that reel? Fishing depth is something between 2m-14m water, normally 2m-8m, softplastict weight 5-15g. Price should be something 100-150 AU$. How long rods you use Bream fishing? Jani
Witha
Hi Jani, generally bream rods are 1-3kg line weight and between 6 foot 6 and 7foot2 ish in my experience, the bit where they may differ from what you might want for perch is that upper limit of 15g. most are indictaed at 7is. could go a 2-4kg rod which would probably hand 10g pretty easily Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
JaniFIN
One or two part rod? Any mind? So you think that longer (Over 6.2 foo)t is better for smaller lures and smaller fishes?
Jew Stalker
A 6'10" - 7'10" 2-4 kg rod is perfect for light soft plastic fishing Jani. The longer rods are good for tweaking plastics without them being too jerky and you will get a further cast... The shorter end of the spectrum is good for tweaking hardbodys as they are not so smooth and you have a lot more control over the action imparted. The shorter rods do go ok for plastics as well but I have found I enjoy the longer rods when using plastics. There are many on the market for the price range you have stated so just go out and feel a few to see what you like most. Luc.
JaniFIN
Thanks for tips. I did buy SavageGear DropShotting 6´9" 5-25g rod. It is DropShotting rod, but feel smoothly, and it was best about balance with my reel ( i testing 5 rod), i will use it for normal soft plastic fishing. BUT I allso did buy some DropShot stuff, and sure build some rigs later. DropShot fishing is quite new thing here, but i have try several times, now need start it more active again. BTW. Have to look when i come to there, if i find some EXTRA smoothly and lightly ROD/reel combo for complete perch softplastic fishin, something "size" 1000 reel. Any idea if i want pay maximum 300au$ ? And it is any mind buy so expensive combo? Jani
