115cm tailor!

Found this in today's paper, surely this can't be true, I didn't think tailor got that big?

Just wanted to get your opinions on the fishing report for the daily telegraph.

Was that in the Sydney Tele?

If it is, the guy who writes it has no idea. Some of his past reporting

efforts include Morwong up to 10kgs being trolled up on surface pushers

at the peak! Yes, he wrote that many years ago & I read it myself!!

Don't believe everything that is written. It may be true, but I'd like to see a

photo that hasn't been photoshopped 1st.

I reckon you would see something like that reported on these forums well before

you read about it in the Tele.

Cheers,

Grant.

Daily tele fishing report is always entertaining.

It deserves it's own thread so we can figure out where some of the spots are, and who was the last person to catch some of these species.

Ie tailor to 115cm, others being caught at 1m??

Most of my older fishing books ( and there is no doubt that there were better fish stocks and larger fish then)

state that the Tailor reaches a maximum length o 4 feet or 1.2 meters.

I think its pretty much confirmed that they can grow this large but today that would be a very unusual fish.
