I've caught bream as far as

Long reef so it could be they travel between the Sydney waterways

I think the answer to that is unless individual fish are tested we will never know but it does seem likely.

I am not sure of the current testing method, but would be interesting to know if the testing authority or bodies could devise/produce a testing kit, which recreational fishers could purchase and use themselves to test their catch. Whether it be Sydney Harbour caught fish or otherwise.

Very sad, our environment is getting more and more stuffed! On the surface of the water, it all looks ok, so nothing is being done about this. What about Middle Harbour?
