DVS7OY
Hi Raiders, I've recently upgraded to a 490 Freedom Sport and was looking for some ideas for storing rods whilst driving between sports or not in use while on the water, i've considered a rocket launcher but concerned using light rods they may bounce out. I was also looking at adding underfloor storage that some Freedom Sport's already come with, looking for ideas? Thanks Matt
fragmeister
Hi, I have a Lazeabout 570 and after about 6 months after I bought it I added rocket launcher to the bimini. It works well and I don't notice any bouncing around even with some of the heavier rods. Its great to have the rods off the deck but the down side is that there are a casting hazard particularly when using the fly rod. Overall though I think its works well. Hope this helps Cheers Jim

Sydneyfisher12
I've got a quintrex 480 coast runner with a rocket launcher and I've been in some pretty big swell and the rods have never ever fallen out I just put my tackle boxes in the side pockets or under the back seat Cheers sydneyfisher12

You could incorporate a little fibreglass hardtop
fragmeister
I contacted the guys who make the biminis for the boat dealer. They picked up the bimini from my house and returned it with the rocket launchers the next day. Was not cheap from memory but I appreciated the prompt service. achjimmy
Hers a post from last year. I bought the ocean south rocket launchers and did it my self. Very happy with result, but if you want rocket launchers you can hang on too or for use with game rods you need custom IMO. http://www.fishraider.com.au/Invision/index.php?showtopic=71531

Sydneyfisher12
I got mine online but as said if you want to hold big game reel you will need a custom one made mine holds my jigging rods well though Cheers sydneyfisher12
slinkymalinky
G'day Matt, I mounted some rod clips and a couple of holders for larger rods to the 'outside' of the bow access door. You can sort of see where I mean in this shot. It worked really well for light gear when fishing estuaries and impoundments. Cheers, Slinky
DVS7OY
Hi Guys, Thanks for the suggestions and ideas, by the looks of it there are plenty of raiders improvising when it comes to storage. Matt
martymonsta
Why not incorporate some cheap bungee shock cord loops to help keep the rods/reels from bouncing around. Similar concept to these pics but multiple options available. Marty
