Rosa Gully

Had a fairly frustrating morning at Rosa Gully. Got busted off by a good pig just after sunrise, it ducked straight under the ledge I was fishing on and proved impossible to control on my light luderick gear. Lost everything, float included. Was busted off by another soon after, this time on the reefy bottom. Had several other hookups on what felt to be luderick but I just couldn't make the hook stick today.

Still, it was good to get out of the house for a few hours, not withstanding the rain & the wind. And the trip home to the northside which took 1.5 hrs because of the f***ing marathon.

Not to worry mate we all get days like that when we suffer the dropsies. Scores like 2-0 on pigs on luderick gear are about the norm. I've had a few 8-0 days Especially down Little Beach

Never mind appoooh. A big fish hooked and lost is better than no fish at all. I fished for 6+ hours off the beach over the weekend for one tiny (10 cm) dart! Give me a big pig bust up anyday...
