Gibbofisho
G'day all, Me and my mates/girlfriends decided to hire out a couple of party pontoons on saturday and all i can say is that we had a ball, they are perfectly decked out and very well priced at $350 per boat for the whole day! Between 12 people per boat it cost us $40 each (we makerd the price up $10 each so we could buy some grog and food) They have toilets tables and chairs, ice boxes and gas barbies. And they move along at perfect trolling pace! I took my little bream rod along with the intent of throwing around some of my new squidgy flick baits where ever we anchored up. But seeing as we were on the move i decided to troll a little 15g silver halco out the back, with beer in hand making general conversation with the rest of the boat, i made the call "f*%k, stop the boat, i think i'm snagged" once the boat stopped, the snag was still peeling of line regardless of how tight i set my drag, so i had to start to put my back into it as i was seeing blue backing on my spool when i put some preasure on him, and to the rest of the crews amazement we had some nice arial work from my snag, after about 3 more back flips i boated this little beauty....... After boating this at the mouth of gunnamatta bay (no where near shiprock) we headed around to lilli pilli where a dolphin decided to breach near the boat and say g'day... I trolled up one more tailor to 40cm near deer park when some jerk decided to over take us at the back of the boat taking with him about 50m of my fireline and my lure! All in all great weather, good mates and pleanty of grog made it a great day to be alive and on the water! Outnumbered
nice fish did it go straight on the BBQ? i hope your line got nicely wrapped around the prop shaft of the A**hole and that he figures out it was from getting too close, maybe he might learn from it. Gibbofisho
i hope it seized before he got to the boat ramp! We used a little bit as strip bait, then i filleted and skinned it alond with the tailor wich went straight on the barbie, the salmon however got the beer batter treatment when i got home!
