stu6000
Hi All I have an old stejcraft and want to replace the mouldy carpet. What would be the best material (cost, durability, ease of cleaning, grip) to replace the carpet with? Any recommendation appreciated! thanks S
Paikea
Grey Diamond pattern rubber matting from Bunnings. Check it out, easy to clean, looks great and very reasonable. Cheers Paikea
night_rider
Would it be too obvious to say Marine carpet? Hard wearing, water runs off it well, doesn't get too slippery when wet.. Not sure on retail price though.. I'm guessing it wouldn't be that much..
locodave
I personally prefer the marine carpet! Works for me. If you get it as clip on, you can take it off for those heavy duty fishing days!

Guest Aussie007
there is a special paint u can buy it rolls on and its non slip looks to have granuals in the paint for grip not sure where its bought from the guys are using it on the boat building forum, it'll give u a lower standing height too have read of people using fake grass as carpet in there boats which i thought was hilarious as i was thinking along the lines of 100mm tall fake grass but its actually the very short type
TheCount
Support your local boating shop/supplier and buy marine carpet. Very cost effective and easy to install - just make sure you buy enough bonding glue! Did the back half of my Quintrex 475 Freedom Sport (inc ply) for less than $100.. TC.
