mgj
I had a week Kingie fishing in NZ. We did OK this year. The Kings co-operated for the most part. We had a few double hook ups.My mate used jigs. Not all smooth sailing-I lost a few fly lines and broke a rod.Inevitable with such big fish. All were released. Mark Hooked up & in trouble! A few kings Edited December 21, 2014 by mgj

Hooked-Up
Awesome mate. Have to to this one day! What weight rod is that and is it a salt or xi3? Would love to know more details? (depth of hookups, type of line used to get down to them, what flies, time to boat and anything else youd like to share) Nice fish and Carls crew always seem to find them ay! Well done. Lee. Scratchie
That's a real challenge right there, kings on fly! I'd be happy with a nice one on a normal rod and reel. Something I must do one day, go to NZ for kings. Well done Cheers scratchie!!!
