dnmn8r
Hi all, In the market for a new reel, and while browsing the Shimano site, I noticed that they had their spinning reels split up into "Spinning" and "Saltwater Spinning". Does anybody know if the "Saltwater Spinning" range are inherently more resistant to salt water, of it's simply because they're designed for bigger fish? Was looking at the Sedona and Sahara combos, with Sedona being in the "Spinning" section (and sahara apparently discontinued?). With the Symetre and the Saros being on the lowest end of the "Saltwater Spinning". As someone who fishes exclusively in salt water, it'd be great if these higher end reels are actually just more resilient against the salt. Cheers, Mark
ranga
From my understanding is they're designed for bigger fish having a heavier advanced drag system. I use the stradic ci4 in the rivers and harbour, and find its an awesome reel.
