olic33
Hey all, Hit my new spot on the georges river down near picnic point on the 23rd at around 10.30am to fish an hour or so either side of the tide. Grabbed some fresh squid and some prawns and there i was. Threw out a whole squid on a sliding snell rig, set the baitrunner on my reel and moved over a couple of meters and threw some prawns and plastics. Nothing. Decided to head back around 10.30pm that night to fish the tide again. Same deal, whole squid and some prawns. Hooked something on a prawn, and although it looked to be pretty decent on my 2-4kg outfit, it spat the hook. After that, nothing. I called it a night at around 2am and started going over the weather, tide, moon, barometer etc to see what went wrong as i was sure I'd had the conditions spot on. Looks like that spot just isnt the spot i thought or hoped it would be. Either way I'm off to jervis bay in a day or 2 and should be down there for 1-2 weeks so I'll be looking to target some kingies around point perp over the break. Will keep you all posted.
