Crossfire63
I also heard wd 40 works good too My next door neighbour tried that when he has a wasps nest in his electricity meter box. The results were spectacular. The fire only took a couple of seconds to put out but the singed eye brows lasted for weeks
highlander
That cheap degreaser makes a good weed killer also. Jeff
stevefish
Get the wasp killer spray from the big green $2 shop, instant kill and sprays 3 metres. The further away i am from those things the better.
JohnDory
Handy hint Do this at night time when their all at home in the nest and dormant. The pesky little bastards WILL chase you! I did a girly type run away about 3 Months ago knocking a few with Fly spray off around the pool fence. A few were not in the nest to start, and still wanted a piece of me! Dave PS. no stings and girly screams were not too loud. lol
rockhoppa
Coopex powder mixed in water smashes most insects including wasps. The wasps have never chased me when I spray them. I guess they think it is just water. Not instantaneous, but permethrin based and supposedly low toxicity. Residual, so stops others infesting the area for a while. bessell1955
The trouble I have with wasps are not the stinging ones but are the mud wasps. They build their nests in every orifice they can find. They love the exhausts of my blower, chainsaw, lawnmower and I found that one had built a nest in the water inlet of my gurney. They are very hard to stop as they are very transient and do not seem to nest together.
