Look for areas where there a sand an weed patches. If you are using a Shad SP like the squidgy shad or fish then you will need to work them a little harder. The "bounce" techinque is very good, I like 2 bounces. Colours vary so you need to experiment. I always start with the green tiger in 100mm as I prefer darker colours, but I have also caught good fish on the drop bear. Other curly tail grubs etc need less rod work. I have had excellent results on Ecogear plastics, especially if the fish are quiet. Keeping the plastic as close to the bottom as you can is essential, you will find this easier if you cast into the drift. A reasonable leader should be used as lizards will often "inhale" the plastic. Get a copy of the squidgy secrets video/dvd. It has a very good part on lizard spinning.
