REBSS
Hi All, Has anyone in Sydney had experience in replacing window seals and where to get them ? We spent sat night on my half cab and as it rained all night the windows leaked like a sieve. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers
Fab1
Put up a couple of photos for the guys to see. I'm guessing that they have the rubber seal around them and not sika flexed in. There's different ways to replace a window depending how its fitted. I will normally use sash cord, putty knife, and blade. If its just got a rubber around the window i pry the seal back gently with the putty knife whilst gently putting some pressure pushing out on the Perspex/glas while I work my way around the circumference of the window pushing the seal over its lip. To install I feed rubber seal back into the window then wrap sash cord around the whilst someone holds glass from outside boat over the opening then I simply pull on the sash to seat the lip of the seal over the lip in the window frame. With windows that are sika flexed in I use a flexible blade a wire to saw my way through the sealant. As to where to buy I wouldn't have a clue . Google or better yet ask Huey our site sponsor where to purchase. Cheers.
