night_rider Posted January 14, 2015 Share Posted January 14, 2015 Hi Raiders, With our recent successful trips to the harbour I think I need to invest in some more surface lures... I recently got a multipack of like 15 lures or so from ebay for $16, which yes caught many fish, and carry the scars of Tailor teeth... but they also seemed to stop 'popping' after a while. And we managed to straighten a few trebles... So without spending $20 a lure, what have you guys had luck with? Essentially I will be throwing them at bust ups and boiling water hoping for anything that is hungry. Would love to entice the larger fish from the feeding schools! Thanks! M. night_rider Posted January 15, 2015 Author Share Posted January 15, 2015 The Halco looks pretty good. Might pick up a few tonight.. Last outing I tried a few different squidgey minnows and other sps near the surface but the hook up rate was much slower and was starting to get outfished so changed back to the poppers...
