Braddo1966 Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Fished the run-out tide just this Saturday and zippo zilch nada. Fished the slack tide on Australia Day and got a feed of two fat and healthy bream - 35 and 32 cm long. Dropped a stonker over 40 cm and another 30 cm fish both at the net. The boat next to me was also getting good quality bream as well. Attached is a photo of the feed I caught all ready for the pan.
gregh1 Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 A couple of good sized bream there mate!!! Enjoy!!!
APEX Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Gotta love bream! I find them a better feed than snapper to be honest,,,
Braddo1966 Posted January 27, 2015 Author Posted January 27, 2015 Hawkesbury Bream are good fun to catch for sport. As far as on the plate is concerned I find that Bream caught in the Hawkesbury are not as tasty as the one's from Lake Maquarie. Lake Mac water is far cleaner (I'm talking see through to the bottom Turquoise coloured water up to 3 metres). The Bream from there taste fantastic. I think in future it will be Catch, photo and release as far as my local haunt is concerned.
adamski Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Good effort bud, some nice sized bream there.
