Hi guys,

Can anyone recommend a good beach fishing spot north or south of Wollongong.

I want to chase some Jew fish and don't know the area too well.

Appreciate your help.

Thanks

There's a few, but for isolation and variety of fish I like Windang.

You'll get everything from Whiting, Bream, Salmon, Tailor, Gummies, Jewies etc.

Stretch behind golf course & aboriginal land my fav, bit of a walk.

Try Thirroul beach and McCaulies Beach, i know they catch them of thirroul beach as my mate goes spearing of the pump house all the time, and McCaulies beach is a well known local spot for Jews

Thanks heaps fellas on my way now. Just got to make a decision.

I fished south of windang Island two weeks ago and got a 1m reef shark on a squid.

Might try north tonight.

Hey Guys,

Ended up fishing at McCaulies beach list night, sent out squid and yakkas, unfortunately no jewies, but managed another reef shark just shy of 1m and also what looked to be a saltwater carfish? It had whiskers, unfortunately didnt take a pic.

All in all beautiful night, no wind at all and didn't get too cold.

Cheers

If your facing the ocean on the right hand side just before Sandon Point.
