We arrived at the boat ramp about 6.15am and headed out to the middle of the bay.

We drifted around the channel markers with a few other boats. Within about 10 minutes Geoff caught the little shovel nose on a peeled prawn.

I was using my usual bait chicken breast rolled in parmesan cheese without success. I changed over to headless prawns and caught a nice 58cm flatty.

Geoff landed a couple of 35cm flatties and a bream. We both got a few little squires.

All were released except our dinner, my flatty.

It was great to be out in the boat again even with the swell and breeze. I hope it's not too long between outings.
