Georges River fishing by boat

I'm new to here and forums in general really... Just wanting some help with boat based spots to try out in the Georges River. I'm in Alfords Point and sometimes go to Port Hacking so any tips/good spots there would be helpful also. Thinking of chasing the Jewies in the River (best times/spots/baits etc) THANKS!

Best spot I've found to fish Georges chasing Jews from boat is just up from Picnic Piont boat shed just after the first right hand bend before the river turns left , little deep hole . You'll need a fish finder to find the hole , anchor up just up of it on an incoming tide & fish at least 2hrs before high tide & until the tide starts to turn . I only bait fish for them & I highly recommend Fresh flesh baits tailor / mullet or Squid when ever available . Late evening better , moon phase not really important as I've caught the on Full moon & No moon. 6/0 hooks & 40lb trace & mono line I've found works best . Bait Runner reel or have the drag backed right off & Remember most of all Let The Fish RUN before striking !! Good luck & I hope this helps .... I'm New to fish raider Aswell.

Thanks that info is really helpful. I have a fish finder so i'll def give it a go. Do you eat the fish from there or catch and release?

C&R only, Georges isn't the cleanest of river systems. Especially up Picnic Point - Liverpool.
