fragmeister
Hi Raiders, In the bigger rivers I would tend to go right to the breakwaters after rain and fish the margins of the cloudy river water and the cleaner salt water but I am not so certain of tactics in Sydney Harbour. So I have a few questions for the more experienced Jew hunters. Would you expect the recent rains to flush the Jewies out of the river and if so how far into the harbour? Do you think they are just taking advantage of the concentrations of bait fished flushed down river or are they intolerant of the fresh water ( or both) Not after specific spots (unless you want to pm me) but are we talking east of the bridge, west of the bridge or perhaps even right down closer to the heads? Any advice much appreciated. Cheers Jim
Krispy !
There will be large numbers of jewies pushed into deeper holes near the bridge and beyond, look for channels and soak a livey, im sure youll nail some
fragmeister
Thanks Krispy, Weather permitting I will get out there early on Friday and hunt around. Cheers Jim
Witha
That was going to be my theory too, find the holes or outlets of rivers and give it a Crack. No jew expert but the theory suggests they will be much further down. Parra and harbour being so large you'd find them wherever it seems to meet clearer water or where the flush finishes
fragmeister
Thanks Ben, All seems to make sense... lets hope the fish are up to speed with the theory! Cheers Jim

bluebottle18
A drift across the mouth of lane Cove River. also the moorings around Luna park. Bait IMO is a personal thing but a Barra Lure Red Head white body might not go astray. Balls Head + Blues Point. PS. If you have no luck with the fishing a scoop net I am sure will land you a feed of tennis balls and foot balls etc.
